Primator Brewery was founded in 1872 in the city of Nachod. The city is situated in Northeastern Bohemia on the Czech-Polish border, 100 miles from Prague.

Primator has the highest selection of beers in the Czech Republic and is one of the last independent breweries in Central Europe.
